We first stayed in Waikiki Banyan 36 years ago. It's in a great location to beach, bus stops and just a short walk to Zoo and Aquarium.

This is a great unit with Diamond head views out the living room window and ocean views from peek a boo to full on depending which room you are in. The beds are very comfortable but the rest of the furniture needs a redo. We would stay again but would buy a couple comfy lawn chairs to relax in. The condo is dated but that was reflected in the price and we enjoyed our time here

We had a great time staying at the apartment for 9 days. We knew what to expect from reading previous reviews. The carpets and kitchen are dated but all is very clean. The location is ideal. 1 block from Waikiki Beach. Most tour pickups were less than a block away. Several "TheBus" routes were closeby and Waikiki Trolley are nearby. We avoided a car rental and the traffic. There is a private car rental across the street for local/short term rentals. Very busy. We ate breakfast on the balcony each day overlooking the 6th floor pool with Diamondhead Crater in the background. View of the beach and coast from the kichen & side windows. When not on tours we cooked in for most meals. The kitchen was furnished with china and silver for 4. Pots and pans were adequate, if you planned well. Be prepared to hand wash the dishes. Also had beach towels, camp chairs, beach chairs, a boogie board. All linens provided. Bed were adequate and we did not experience any mattress sliding as in a previous review. Wifi did a good job. Air conditioning was adequate but did not find any fans so cooling was not even. The couch and chairs were uncomfortable and need new firmer cushions. Property mgt. very responsive to questions and needs. We would love to come back.

Five stars for value. The unit is original and worn but incredibly clean. It is huge by Waikiki standards and has many windows for great views. Soundproof if the windows are shut. Excellent location. Sofa wasn't usable for me as the seat cushions were bad. Carpeting was lumpy but very clean. Would highly recommend this unit for the price.

Very relaxing. Nice views of Waikiki Beach from the southern facing windows. Property managers very responsive and replaced faulty air-conditioner quickly.

The room is large with full kitchen and only two blocks from the beach. Shower head broke off and a repairman came same day, on a Sunday, and repaired it. Good response from rental group.
