We stayed for 2 weeks. It was a great location, and a great unit overall! Very comfortable. It was like coming home in the evenings. The bed was really comfy. We were quite busy. We rented a car and the parking was free. The only downside is we did do a lot of our own cooking and there could have been a few more dishes. I know there were only 2 of us but if we didn't wash after every meal then there wasn't enough for the next meal. It could also use some sprucing up. New paint or wipe down. Otherwise, I would definitely return! Easy company to work with!

The condo was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The kitchen had sufficient pots/pans/utensils for quick breakfasts. The location of the Waikiki Banyan is very convenient to Waikiki Beach and in perfect walking distance to many restaurants. The view from the lanai is just as pictured--spectacular! We never had any need to contact the manager because we had no problems at all. Also, we loved how the combination to the door was "customized" to where it was super easy to remember the combination.

Well equipped unit with beautiful view of Lēʻahi (Diamond Head crater). The view isn't an obstructed, as there is a skyscraper directly in front of the unit (you can see it in the listing's picture is you look way on the left), but it's still a great view. The unit is also in a great location, super walkable to tons of restaurants and the beach. I also loved how parking is included with the rental. My relatives stayed in a different place, and they had to spend an extra $40 per day on valet parking, not included with their rental price. That's a huge perk. But heads up, the ceiling on the building's garage is low. Our SUV fit with like two inches to spare, but do NOT rent a big car. Even if you can fit in the garage, it's a pain to maneuver a big car in the tight garage.

As other reviews have mentioned, the pull out bed is extremely uncomfortable, to the point of being unusable. Thankfully there were lots of extra blankets and things we were able to use as extra padding in the closet to make it sleep worthy for our kids. That approach probably wouldn't have worked for adults though. At the end of our stay we discovered what looked like an air mattress in the closet. That probably would have been better.

I also really appreciated how lots of beach toys and umbrellas and things were included with the unit. They came in very handy!

The property was great, clean, well prepared ,and as advertised. Great location for both the beach and retail sides of Waikiki Beach walk and easy to drive in/out of.

The management team was very responsive, informative, professional, and friendly.

The only recommendation I would have is to replace the mattress on the sofa bed, it is completely worn out. The air mattresses were a great alternative.

Communication was electronic and fit our needs. We loved the unit and it had everything we needed. The building is by the zoo and a beach with a rock wall for great swimming. Parking pass is a nice addition to the reservation. WE WANT to stay here again. We come frequently and the Banyan is our choice. The unit came with some beach items.

Stayed for 22 nights in Jan. 2024. The property is exactly as described on VRBO. Kaina Hale was a pleasure to deal with. All enquiries were answered promptly. On arrival, access to the room was quick and easy. We found the room clean and well maintained. We did have one very minor issue that was dealt with very quickly. We enjoyed having our morning coffee on the lanai, watching the sun rise over Diamond Head. Having the parking included is a big plus.
Over the last 30 years, we have travelled to Hawaii 15 times, always staying in different properties. This particular property is one that we would definitely return to, not only for the ease of access but also for the professionalism of Kaina Hale Realty. This is one property that we would recommend to friends and relatives.

Great location in Waikiki! Dated but expected. Communication was great.

A couple of things to note:

We originally didn’t have enough towels for the group, but after a call, they delivered another set. One set per person for the week was a bit disappointing. The sofa bed was really uncomfortable. Very springy with little to no cushion.

Our stay was quite nice. The unit is comfortable and convenient. It is a little dated but overall it was clean and the walk to the beach and shops is about 5 minutes. The view from the lanai is nice although there is some street noise. The pool area is not overly crowded and there is plenty of space available. The management company was responsive to any questions we had and the front desk staff was helpful even though we weren't guests of the hotel.

We were quite pleased with our stay. The place is very convenient as it is close to the zoo, the beach, the aquarium, the bus, the church and a large variety of restaurants and loads and loads of ABC stories to pick up a few groceries you might need for the room. We would give this room a 4 out of 5.
The view is also spectacular from the deck as it over looks Diamond Head and also the ocean.

The room, its self, could use a little updating as the walls could definitely use a paint job. We found the king bed and pillows very comfortable but the sofa bed is very uncomfortable as the springs poke right through the mattress. The kitchen is nicely updated and all appliances were in good condition and anything we needed for use in the kitchen was there except for a roaster which we bought and left with the room for the next guest. Also there were a number of items in this unit for the beach (great).

It was great to have the free parking.

We had one complaint and that was upon arrival, our pass code to the condo was not working and we could not get ahold of anyone to help us out. We phoned, texted and emailed the company number at 4:00 in the afternoon and no one responded to any of these. This was very disheartening. We had to find another place to stay that night. The next day we emailed again and still no reply so we walked downtown to find their office. Once they heard of our dilemma they were very apologetic and accommodating. They did their very best to make us happy. But, they must be more attentive to their phones, texts and emails.

In the long run, we would recommend this property to others as it is very close to everything you would need and the beach is lovely.

This unit is one of the best in the Waikiki Banyan. We have stayed here for 3 years and plan to come back again next year. Pictures are accurate but could use a bit of sprucing up - it's starting to look a wee bit tired. Fresh paint and bathroom repairs would do wonders.

Nicely appointed condo, thoughtful managers asked for feedback too. Great location, especially to get out with out battling the worst of the traffic. Pool and facility were also good. View did have a building in east view, only downside was the brightness of the lights at night from the neighboring building's stairway lighting.

We enjoyed 8 days in Oahu with our two grown sons and their wives. We rented two of the units in this building which housed our party of 6 nicely. Great views of Diamond Head and partial ocean view. Our unit had a comfortable King bed and an updated kitchenette with a peninsula. The unit had everything we needed to fix our daily breakfasts, and also had older beach chairs, sand toys, snorkel sets etc. We had brought our own snorkels etc but saw that if traveling light, this would be a good option. Overall the building is older, but was a great location just a block from the beach, and within walking distance of many great restaurants. It says it sleeps 6, but that would be quite full. Instead we rented an additional unit for our adult kids. It also was great to have a key code to get in, which after a long flight, was quick and easy to access our room. Free parking pass was also awesome, as its hard getting a parking spot on the street. We would stay here again.
